Dragon Ball FighterZ already offers a pretty well-rounded roster of fighters, with each sporting their own unique moves and play styles, but that hasn’t stopped modders from bringing their own characters into the game. We’ve already seen the likes of Super Saiyan Rosé Vegeta laying out the competition, but a new project aims to add Sonic the Hedgehog to the arcade-style fighting game. The Dragon Ball FighterZ Sonic mod is made even more impressive upon seeing the work put into it so far.
Presented as an alternate skin to teen Gohan, Sonic features the same visual shine present with all other characters in the game, as well as some pretty remarkable fight animations. Even more amazing is the inclusion of the character’s Super Sonic form, an addition very well-suited to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Check out the gameplay video below:
The Dragon Ball FighterZ Sonic mod is a joint project by modders BeatzYT3, SirGiygas, NibrocRock, and _Mizumi. As of now, the mod is not yet available to download, pending some fine tuning and the addition of Sonic voice clips. Even without these missing features, Sonic already seems like a fitting addition to the game, kicking, punching, and one-handed kamehameha-ing his opponents into dust. Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
